Dear Interested Student,
You are part of remarkable woman apart of the Robert H. Smith School of Business, and we would love to see you join our prestigious fourth cohort. The community of the Women’s Empowerment Institutes highlights the importance of both professional and community development through workshops and community-building opportunities.
We strongly believe in our mission statement: To empower women from underrepresented populations within the Robert H. Smith School of Business to be successful personally and professionally by:
Inspiring them to be confident in their ability to be a leader.
Connecting members with high-profile business leaders and experiential learning that will equip them with the business acumen necessary to succeed in a professional setting.
Creating an environment of trust where transparent feedback and experiences underrepresented women will be shared and supported.
The executive leaders of WEI have developed a comprehensive curriculum designed to inspire, connect, and empower women leaders at Smith.

The Robert H. Smith School of Business continues to prioritize the success and empowerment of students of Black and Latino descent. This empowerment starts on the day these students walk on campus. For this reason, Smith hosts its annual For The Stars Festival during the first week of classes in celebration of these students.

Speaker Maggie Chinn will present information about perfecting ones' interview skills in preparation to interviewing for positions. She will give us some examples of prospects she has interviewed, and give insights on how to ace an interview
